Nutrient Dense Pumpkin & Fig Smoothie


This healthy smoothie is packed with nutrients and with flavor. It is gluten free, dairy free, vegan, low fat and free of added sugar. It is the perfect fall treat that can be enjoyed for breakfast, or as a snack any time of the day. Below, we give instructions on how to make this delicious smoothie. Pumpkin is rich in vitamin A, contains a large amount of antioxidants that protect the body from developing disease, and contains several nutrients that can improve eyesight and promote weight-loss. Figs are rich in minerals, vitamins and fiber, and have been known to promote a healthy weight.


Ingredients:


1 frozen banana, 3 fresh figs, 1/2 cup canned pumpkin, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tbsp. almond butter, 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk, 1/2 cup ice cubes


Instructions:


Blend ingredients in smoothie on high until smooth through. Pour into a glass cup and serve. Enjoy!
